1、《The Everyday, Frozen in Time》2、《The Coolness of Summer》3、《A Good Egg Today》

Beginning with everyday foods and consumer items, this series uses clay to reimagine plastic packaging, soft-serve ice cream holders, and tea egg containers.

It employs plastic bags as a symbol of convenience and disposable culture, pairing clay’s volume and weight to reexamine the contours of so-called cheap objects. Additionally, ceramic ice cream cups are transformed into heat-conducting devices that engage both the tactile and taste senses, while tea egg containers are inspired by crabs’ postures, adding a ritualistic element.

Set within daily life scenarios, these works reshape the relationships between objects and the human body, encouraging viewers to critically reflect on sensory experience and the meaning of material value.

About the Artist

Austronesian Alien Studio

Austronesian Alien Studio, a cultural tribe in Taichung focused on Austronesian heritage, is founded by a group of aliens passionate about Austronesian cultures.

Rooted in our core philosophy of “reviving traditional Amis pottery in modern society,” we invite the public to explore Austronesian cultures through Amis pottery craftsmanship, cultural experiences, and artistic creation. By reconnecting tribal heritage with today’s urban life, we aim to create a unique Austronesian cultural landscape in the city.
