Using everyday scenes and natural transitions as artistic clues, this work explores the states of form—from emergence to disappearance and transformation. Through loose brushwork, layered colors, and flowing strokes, the image transcends mere representation of reality, becoming a continuously shifting perceptual experience.
This includes the gradual appearance of contours, the slow breakdown of matter, and fleeting moments when reflection merges with reality. The work emphasizes the thresholds between clarity and ambiguity, presence and absence, revealing the traces left by a constantly changing world.

About the Artist
FOO Suan-Qin
-
Foo Suan-Qin currently studies at Taipei National University of the Arts. She specializes in sleeping on park slides and enjoys eating steamed rice with wontons (though she dislikes wonton noodles). Her primary medium is painting, and her work explores how viewing experiences and perceptions can shift. By layering brushstrokes, allowing colors to seep through, and emphasizing the materiality of paint, she explores how a canvas can carry personal experiences and emotional traces, seeking new ways of seeing between the concrete and the abstract.
